Coinbase Card now supports Apple Pay and Google Pay and allows card users to spend their cryptocurrencies through mobile payment platforms
The crypto exchange Coinbase has announced that the Coinbase Card can now be linked to Google Pay and Apple Pay. Coinbase Card holders can now pay for goods and services using their Visa debit card through mobile payment platforms.
In a blog post, Coinbase said: „You can now use your Coinbase Card with Apple Pay and Google Pay! This makes it even easier to pay with cryptos from home and on the go.”The crypto exchange encourages its users to use Apple Pay and Google Pay through their card, giving them the opportunity to use it to earn crypto rewards of up to 4%.
According to its own data, the increase in mobile payments in recent months prompted Coinbase to integrate Apple Pay and Google Pay. In the US, millions of people now pay for everyday supplies such as food, office supplies and more with this payment method. Coinbase stated that users can earn back 1% in Bitcoin or 4% in Stellar Lumens as part of their bonus program.
In a tutorial, the crypto exchange explains how customers can add the Coinbase Card to their Apple and Google Pay accounts. Through these payment platforms, the Coinbase Card can also be used if you have not yet received the physical card.
Coinbase emphasized their mission to make it as easy as possible for people to spend cryptocurrencies. „With the Apple Pay and Google Pay integration, it will be even easier to spend and multiply cryptocurrency. This latest development also demonstrates Apple’s continued commitment to the crypto space. Last week, the tech giant said it wanted to hire a manager in charge of the alternative payment space. The preferred candidate has at least five years of experience in the crypto field.
